Meteors are relatively known as ‘Shooting Stars’ or ‘Falling Stars’. Millions of meteors occur in the Earth’s atmosphere daily! But there is a catch, Meteors only become visible between about 75 to 120 km (47 to 75 mi) above the Earth.The VL (visible light) produced by a meteor may take on various hues and is dependent on the chemical composition of the meteoroid, and the speed of its movement through the atmosphere.
